Nowdays I practice law; spend time with my two kids; watch a lot of baseball; and tell lies about having been a bull rider in Blackfoot. After graduation ... Lived in CA, UT, Taiwan, Palau, UT, China, UT, TX, OR, and UT before moving to the Seattle area where I have lived since 2001. I bought a motorcycle in 1993 and got married in 1995. I worked as a student, missionary, roofer, concrete/epoxy laborer, scaffold carpenter, research assistant, journal editor, and law clerk before getting a JD and then worked as legislative counsel, state appeals clerk, federal appeals clerk, and associate lawyer. I'm a partner at a small firm specialized in construction law. I advise clients, prepare contracts, negotiate deals, work as a mediator and arbitrator, and mostly litigate.
